TCMB, ECB, and Manual Exchange Rate Management

The exchange-rate system is designed to work with different sources without depending on a single fixed logic. According to project-specific needs, the following structure is supported:

• TCMB-based exchange-rate usage
• ECB-based exchange-rate usage
• Source continuity with fallback logic
• Manual exchange-rate definition
• Hourly / daily automatic updates
• Scheduled exchange-rate synchronization according to the Istanbul time zone

Especially on the TCMB side, the system has been made more reliable by considering the publication time and bulletin logic. This provides not only a “fetch the exchange rate” logic, but a truly usable and operational exchange-rate flow.

What Is the ENR Internal Pricing Index?

ENR is not a standard currency. In this system, ENR is designed entirely as a central price-control index that runs in the background and is not shown to users.

Example logic:

Product price: 50 ENR ENR rate: 41.5600 Final sale price: 50 × 41.5600 = TL equivalent

The greatest advantage of this approach is this: Without updating products one by one, you can increase or decrease the prices of large product groups in a controlled way by changing only the ENR coefficient.

This provides a major advantage especially in the following scenarios:

What Does the User See, and What Does the Admin See?

On the frontend:

• The customer sees the TL sale price
• VAT-included / VAT-excluded display is provided according to the need
• Only the necessary information lines are shown for USD / EUR-based products
• ENR is not a currency presented to the customer; it is an internal pricing index that enables prices to be managed centrally, in a controlled and sustainable way. All product prices calculated through ENR are reflected to the customer as the current Turkish Lira (TL) equivalent.

In the admin panel:

• A product-based price source can be selected
• Separate price fields can be used for USD, EUR, and ENR
• variation-based price sources can be defined
• discounted prices can be managed separately
• the exchange rate and source price information at the time of order can be recorded

This keeps the system simple on the user side while providing powerful control on the admin side.

Professional Pricing Flow in Variable Products

Especially in variable products, it is critically important that prices are calculated from the correct source in the correct way. The structure we developed supports variation-based price source logic. This means different variations of a product can be:

• based on TL
• based on USD
• based on EUR
• managed with the ENR index

In addition, price fields are updated dynamically according to the selected variation. This strengthens the user experience and reduces the risk of incorrect price display.

Order and Record Security

It is not enough for the price to appear correctly on the screen; the information at the time of order must also be securely recorded. In this system, the following types of information can be processed into order lines using a snapshot logic:

• price source
• source currency / source index
• the exchange rate used
• TL equivalent at the time of order
• variation-based price reference

This allows future reporting, accounting checks, price audits, and past order reviews to be performed more securely.
